IndySchool Consultancy Welcomes Chris Brueningsen as Senior Search Consultant

IndySchool Consultancy is delighted to announce the addition of Chris Brueningsen to our team as Senior Search Consultant. Chris brings a wealth of experience and a deep understanding of independent school leadership, making him a valuable asset to our firm and the schools we serve.

Chris is a veteran independent school educator with more than 35 years of experience as a teacher, administrator, and consultant. From 2002 to 2024, he served as Head of School at The Kiski School, where he oversaw operations, hiring and retention, fundraising, and major campus initiatives. He has advised schools and Boards on governance, strategic planning, and finance, and has provided executive coaching to school leaders. Chris has chaired numerous accreditation teams, served as president of the Pennsylvania Association of Independent Schools, and received the TABS Ruzicka Award in 2023. He holds degrees from Muhlenberg College and Indiana University of Pennsylvania and lives in Vermont with his wife and two children. This firsthand experience allows Chris to approach leadership searches with a nuanced understanding of the specific needs and priorities of each school.

As Senior Search Consultant, Chris will play a key role in assisting schools with their Head of School and Senior Administrative searches. His expertise will be instrumental in guiding schools through the search process, identifying and attracting top-tier candidates, and ensuring successful placements. Chris's dedication to finding the right fit for each school, combined with his deep knowledge of the independent school landscape, will provide invaluable support to our clients.
